Dr. Julia Dobson grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where she attended Seneca High School before completing her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at Bellarmine University in 2007. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health from the University of Louisville in 2009.
Dr. Dobson then moved with her husband, Nick, to Texas for Air Force pilot training, where she fell in love with working as a 3rd grade math tutor at a public school. Once Nick completed flight training, Dr. Dobson was accepted into the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated in 2016. She continued her training with a Pediatric Dentistry residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, which she completed in 2018.
For the past seven years, Dr. Dobson has proudly cared for children and families at Kid’s Dentistree. Now, she is excited to pursue her dream of practice ownership, continuing her commitment to helping children build healthy smiles for life. She is Board Certified and an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Dobson enjoys spending time with her husband, a member of the Kentucky Air National Guard, and their three children—Sarah, Sam, and Jonah. Whether it’s cheering Sarah on at gymnastics, watching Sam play baseball and lacrosse, or enjoying snuggles with Jonah (who is a big Jurassic Park fan), family time is her greatest joy. At home, she loves walking the family dogs, Pippa and Loula, jogging, and cooking with her husband.
